How to choose the right games for your child’s age

Every age has its own best games. Learn about indoor play zones and how to pick what suits your child’s age and abilities.
Indoor play centers usually have several zones: a ball pit, slides, trampolines, ride-on cars and a soft play area. Because children differ in age, height and coordination, choosing the right activity makes the visit more fun and safer.
Toddlers (just starting to walk): the soft play area and spaces made for little ones are usually the best fit, with padded surfaces and low heights. Stay close and hold their hand when needed.
Preschoolers: they enjoy the ball pit, ride-on cars and medium slides. Encourage them to try things gradually and never force them onto a game they are afraid of.
Older children: they prefer challenge and movement, such as trampolines, climbing routes and longer slides. Taking turns and not crowding become more important here.
Quick tips:
- Read the age and height signs at each game and follow them.
- Start with calm games, then move gradually to more active ones.
- Let your child rest between games and drink water.
- Watch for signs of tiredness or fear, and change the activity then.
- Ask the center’s staff about the right ages for each zone; they know the rules of the place.
This is general guidance. It does not replace the center's own rules, safety signs and the staff's instructions.
